We started Filmmakers Meetup because we saw how hard it was for filmmakers to truly connect — most events felt exclusive, and many creatives didn’t have a place to belong.
Our mission is to change that by creating a space where filmmakers of all levels can meet, collaborate, and grow together. The meetup is free, inclusive, and community-powered — a place where everyone feels welcome, seen, and a part of something bigger.

Why you are needed
We looked around for an event where filmmakers could just show up, connect, and feel at home but we couldn’t find one. So we decided to take the initiative and create it ourselves.
Filmmakers Meetup was built to give filmmakers a safe, welcoming space to share stories, learn from each other, and find real community without the barriers or exclusivity that often come with industry events.
But this kind of space doesn’t happen on its own. Every meetup comes to life because of volunteers who care people who help set up the venue, welcome guests, document moments, manage the flow, or simply bring good energy to the room.
